Back to School Cones (Schultüten) are given to students on their first day of school in many European countries. Traditionally filled with candy, school cones are meant to "sweeten" the start of school. We like to fill ours with school supplies instead of candy. Afterwards, we hang the bag in the bedroom and use it as storage and decoration.
This is our most-popular, longest-selling, heirloom-quality fabric Schultüte. Each one is made to order by request with our current fabric availability. Made with cotton fabric, it is lined with fabric as well. A drawstring closure holds everything inside. No two are alike - unless you request it!
*One block-style initial name comes standard on each bag, please let me know which letter you would like and what color!*
LISTING OPTIONS:
1) Size (14", 18", 24" length)

Other special request? Want a specific color? Perhaps script writing as opposed to a block initial? Send any questions my way! I'm happy to create a custom listing to your specific details. BACKGROUND:
I began making these fabric Schultüten for my American-German kiddos in 2011. Finding Schultüten in the US wasn't possible. And it was very expensive to ship traditional German cardboard Schultueten across the Atlantic Ocean! I decided to make them myself. I didn't want to waste time, money, and materials on a disposal, single-use item. So, I upgraded the design to fabric. Over the years I’ve tried to explore classic childhood themes while blending a bit of Americanism into the design.
